Transcobalamin I (haptocorrin [Homo sapiens]) is a member of the vitamin B12-binding protein family. This family of proteins, alternatively referred to as R binders, is expressed in various tissues and secretions. This protein is a major constituent of secondary granules in neutrophils and facilitates the transport of cobalamin into cells. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot, Immunohistochemistry Immunofluorescence, Flow Cytometry and Immunocytochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilution determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. For long-term storage, aliquot and store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 6 months at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. FITC conjugates are sensitive to light.
