Yin and yang 1 is a multifunctional transcription factor that exhibits positive and negative control on a large number of cellular and viral genes by binding to sites overlapping the transcription start site. It may play an important role in development and differentiation. The function of Yin and yang 1 as an activator or a repressor is specified by the presence of other proteins. Yin and yang 1 binds to the upstream conserved region (UCR) (5'-CGCCATTTT-3') of Moloney murine leukemia virus (MuLV).
Applications:
Suitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:
Western Blot: 1:10000
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Positive Control:
Mouse lung lysate
Storage and Stability:
May be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot and store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
