Yes Kinase (Src p62 Non-receptor Tyrosine Kinases)

Yes is a member of the Src family of non-receptor tyrosine kinases and amplifies signals generated by various receptors. Expression of Yes is elevated in melanocytes and in melanoma cells. Yes activity is stimulated by neurotrophins, which are mitogenic and metastatic factors for melanoma cells. Yes is essential for MAP Kinase activation by angiotensin II.\n\nApplications: \nSuitable for use in Western Blot. Not recommended for Immunoprecipitation. Other applications not tested. \n\nRecommended Dilution:\nWestern Blot: 0.5-2ug/ml detects Yes Kinase in RIPA lysates from Jurkat cells. Jurkat cell lysate was resolved by electrophoresis, transferred to nitrocellulose and probed with anti-Yes (1ug/ml). Proteins were visualized using a goat anti-rabbit secondary antibody conjugated to HRP and a chemiluminescence detection system. \nOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.\n\nPositive Antigen Control: J9000\nJurkat cell lysate. Use 20ug per lane for minigels. \n\nStorage and Stability:\nMay be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot and add glycerol (40-50%). Freeze at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
