Acetylcholinesterase YT blood group (Acetylcholine acetylhydrolase, ACHE, precursor, ARACHE, N-ACHE-YT)

Acetylcholinesterase (AChE) is an enzyme located in the postsynaptic membrane and in the muscle endplates, where it hydrolyses the neurotransmitter acetylcholin. AChE from brain is a tetramer (G4-AChE) with a molecular mass of 320kD, AChE from erythrocytes is a dimer (G2-AChE) with a molecular mass of 170kD.\n\nApplications: \nSuitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot. Other applications not tested.\n\nRecommended Dilution:\nOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.\n\nStorage and Stability:\nMay be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot and add glycerol (40-50%). Freeze at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.

Recognizes Acetylcholinesterase (bovine brain, AChE)Has specificity for native, heat denatured and SDS plus heat denatured AChE.\nReacts with AChE from bovine and human brain or erythrocytes. No cross-reactivity to BtChE from human serum, AChE from flounder body muscle or Torpedo marmorata.
