Human CD11b (aM integrin) complexes with CD18 (B2 integrin) to form the complement receptor type 3 (CR3) heterodimer which binds to ICAM-1, fibrinogen, C3b, and coagulation factor X. CD11b expression is restricted to leukocytes, mainly to myeloid and NK cells.\n\nApplications:\nSuitable for use in Flow Cytometry. Other applications not tested.\n\nRecommended Dilution:\nFlow Cytometry: Briefly, 5x10e5 ficoll prepared human peripheral blood mononuclear cells were washed and pre-incubated 5 min with 20ul of 250ug/ml human IgG (to block non specific binding) after which they were incubated 45 min on ice with 80ul of anti-CD11b antibody at a concentration of 20ug/ml. Cells were washed twice and incubated with 50ul of with Goat anti-Mouse IgG/FITC, after which they were washed three times, fixed and analyzed by FACS. A net 15% sub population of the cells stained positive with a mean shift of 1.10 log10 fluorescent units when compared to a Mouse IgG1 negative control at a similar concentration.\nOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.\n\nStorage and Stability:\nMay be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
