CD11b associates with CD18 to form the heterodimeric complex known as Mac-1. This complex serves as a receptor for the iC3b component. Mac-1 also serves as an adhesion molecule for intracellular adhesion molecule-1, also known as CD54. Mac-1 is expressed on cells of the mycloid lineage as well as natural killer cells. Applications: Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Flow Cytometry: 5ug labels 1x10e6 cells Excitation 488nm, Peak emission 525nm. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot and store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. FITC conjugates are sensitive to light.
