CD11b is also known as CD11b/CD18, Mac-1, alphaMbeta2 integrin, Cr3, MO-1, C3bi Receptor). CD11b is a marcophage-granulocyte specific antigen. Mac-1 macrophage differentiation antigen is associated with type three complement receptor and mediates adhesion to CD54 (ICAM-1). CD11b antigen is present on macrophages, granulocytes, natural killer cells, blood monocytes. CD11b is expressed on 8% spleen cells, 44% bone marrow cells and < 1% of thymocytes. Applications: Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry, Immunohistochemistry and Immunoprecipitation. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Flow Cytometry: 1:10; 10ul labels 10e6 cells in 100ul Immunohistochemistry (frozen): 1:5 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Hybridoma: NS1 myeloma cells with spleen cells from Balb/c mice. Recommended Negative Control: I1904-84Q3: IgG2b Murine Negative Control Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
