CD42b (Glycoprotein Ib, GPIb) (PE)

The GPIb/IX complex (CD42a-d) serves as a receptor for von Willebrand Factor (vWF) and thrombin, and mediates adhesion of platelets to subendothelium of damaged vascular walls. The absence of the CD42 complex leads to the Bernard-Soulier Symdrome (BSS). Antibody inhibits the ristocetin-dependent binding of vWF to platelets, ristocetin-induced platelet agglutination, and partially inhibits collagen-induced aggregation.\n\nApplications:\nSuitable for use in Flow Cytometry. Other applications have not been tested. \n\nRecommended Dilutions: \nFlow Cytometry: Neat. Use 10ul to label 100ul whole blood.\nOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. \n\nRecommended Negative Control: \nI1904-79D: Mouse IgG1 Negative Control: RPE\n\nStorage and Stability:\nLyophilized powder may be stored at 4 degrees C. Reconstitute by adding sterile ddH2O. Aliquot and store at 4 degrees C. DO NOT FREEZE! Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months as an undiluted liquid. Dilute only prior to immediate use. Freezing R-Phycoerythrin (PE) conjugates will result in a substantial loss of activity. PE conjugates are sensitive to light. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
