CDw150 (CD150, Signaling Lymphocytic Activation Molecule (SLAM)

Glycosylated type 1 transmembrane protein on the surface of B and T cells. which co-activates B or T lymphocyte responses. CD150, a 70kD cell surface glycoprotein, is also known as signalling lymphocytic activation molecule (SLAM). CD150 is constitutively expressed on CD45+ ve T-cells, immature thymocytes, a subpopulation of peripheral B-cells and dendritic cells. CD150 is rapidly upregulated in T-cells, B-cells and dendritic cells after activation. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot and add glycerol (40-50%). Freeze at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
