This protein is a member of the peptidase S1 family. The encoded protein is a serum calcium decreasing factor that has chymotrypsin like protease activity. Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been observed, but their full length nature has not been determined. Chymotrypsin is specific to the pancreas. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Affinity Constant: 1x10e9 M-1 Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
