CLK1, NT (Dual Specificity Protein Kinase CLK1, CDC-like Kinase 1, CLK) (APC)

This gene encodes a member of the CDC2-like (or LAMMER) family of dual specificity protein kinases. In the nucleus, the encoded protein phosphorylates serine/arginine-rich proteins involved in pre-mRNA processing, releasing them into the nucleoplasm. The choice of splice sites during pre-mRNA processing may be regulated by the concentration of transacting factors, including serine/arginine rich proteins. Therefore, the encoded protein may play an indirect role in governing splice site selection.\n\nApplications: \nSuitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested.\n\nRecommended Dilution:\nELISA: 1:1,000 \nWestern Blot: 1:100-1:500\nOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.\n\nStorage and Stability:\nMay be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Do not freeze APC conjugates. Light sensitive. Aliquots are stable for at least 6 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
