Applications:\nSuitable for use in Immunoblot, Immunofluorescence and Immunohistochemistry (frozen sections). Useful for the discrimination of adenocarcinomas and mesotheliomas from squamous cell carcinoma and non-epithelial tumors. Other applications not tested.\n\nRecommended Dilution: \nImmunohistochemistry: 1:5-1:10\n\nPositive Control: \nAdenocarcinoma\n\nStorage and Stability:\nMay be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, add sterile glycerol (40-50%), aliquot and store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. \n

Recognizes Keratin 18. Specific to simple and glandular epithelial cells from the gastrointestinal tract, the respiratory tract and the urogenital tract, as well as endocrine and exocrine tissues and myoepithelial cells. No reaction with stratified squamous epithelia. In the transitional epithelium of the bladder this clone reacts only with superficial (umbrella) cells. \nSpecies Crossreactivity: Human, most mammals including mouse, rat, rabbit, canine, porcine; birds (chicken).
