Cytokeratin 20 is 46kD intermediate filament protein that has been identified with expression primarily restricted to gastric and intestinal epithelium, urothelium, and Merkel cells. It is a unique type I keratin that is expressed in adenocarcinomas Cellular Localization: Cytoplasmic Positive Control: Colon carcinoma. Applications: Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.

Additional info:	This antibody is highly specific to cytokeratin 20 and shows no crossreaction with other intermediate filament proteins. It is essentially non-reactive in squamous cell carcinomas and adenocarcinomas of the breast, lung, and endometrium, non-mucinous tumors Species Crossreactivity: Crossreacts with Human. Not yet tested in other species.
