The discoidin domain receptors (DDRs) are receptor tyrosine kinases with a discoidin homology
repeat in their extracellular domains, activated by binding to extracellular matrix collagens. So far, two mammalian DDRs have been identified: DDR1 and DDR2. They are widely expressed in human tissues and may have roles in smooth muscle cell-mediated collagen remodeling. Aberrant expression and signaling of DDRs have been implicated in human disease related to increased matrix degradation and remodeling such as cardiovascular disease, liver fibrosis
and tumor invasion.
Applications:
Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:
Immunohistochemistry: 24ug/ml
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:
May be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot and store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
