DDR1 is a DDR/TKT type protein kinase. DDR1 is activated by various types of collagen, including types I through IV. Binding of collagen to DDR1 protein results in autophosphorylation and a delayed but sustained tyrosine kinase activation. DDR1 may function in cell-to-cell interaction or recognition. At least three mRNA variants, resulting in different protein isoforms of 875, 913 and 919 amino acids, have been reported. DDR1 protein has been shown to be over expressed in human breast, ovarian, esophageal and pediatric brain tumors. Cellular Localization: C-terminal region of human Positive Control: Decidual Cells Applications: Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
