Description:
Dextrose Tryptone Agar is recommended for the determination of mesophilic and thermophilic bacteria in sweetening agents used in frozen desserts. Bromcresol purple is used as a pH indicator. When isolating thermophilic bacteria use 55 degrees C as a plating temperature.
Storage and Stability:
Store powdered media at 4 degrees C. Opened bottles should be capped tightly. Protect it from moisture and light. Prepared media should be kept at 4 degrees C and used within a short period of time.
