DHX33 is a DEAD box protein whose function has not yet been determined. DEAD box proteins, characterized by the conserved motif Asp-Glu-Ala-Asp (DEAD), are putative RNA helicases. They are implicated in a number of cellular processes involving alteration of RNA secondary structure such as translation initiation, nuclear and mitochondrial splicing, and ribosome and spliceosome assembly. Based on their distribution patterns, some members of this DEAD box protein family are believed to be involved in embryogenesis, spermatogenesis, and cellular growth and division. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot, Immunofluorescence and Immunoprecipitation. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Western Blot: 1:2000-1:10,000 Immunofluorescence (IC): 1:10-1:2000 Immunoprecipitation: 2-5ug/mg lysate Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Positive Controls: Hela Whole Cell Extract Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
