DNA Marker 50bp Ladder is designed for sizing and approximate quantification of wide range double-stranded DNA on agarose and polyacrylamide gels. The ladder is composed of 13 chromato- graphically purified individual DNA fragments (in base pairs): 1000, 900, 800, 700, 600, 500, 400, 300, 250, 200, 150, 100, 50.
Note: The bright bands at 500 and 250bp serve as the reference.
Concentration:
0.5mg DNA/ml
Storage Buffer:
10mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.6), 1mM EDTA
6X Loading Dye Solution:
Supplied as a liquid in 10mM Tris-HCl, pH 7.6, 0.03% bromophenol blue, 0.03% xylene cyanol FF, 60% glycerol, 60mM EDTA.
Quality Control:
Analysis of 0.5ug (1ul) of the DNA Ladder on agarose gel and 1ug (2ul)-on polyacrylamide gel by ethidium bromide staining generates 13 discrete band patterns.

Storage and Stability:
May be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. For long-term storage, store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 6 months at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
