Exosome Component 2 (EXOSC2, Exosome Complex Exonuclease RRP4, p7, Ribosomal RNA-processing Protein 4, RRP4, hRrp4p, Rrp4p)

The exosome, present in both the nucleus and cytoplasm of all eukaryotic cells, is a complex of 3'-5' exoribonucleases containing at least nine core components. Recently, it has been demonstrated, mainly by analyses in yeast, that the nuclear exosome is essential for rRNA processing and sn(o)RNA biogenesis. Furthermore, it is involved in the degradation of improperly processed mRNAs. The cytoplasmic exosome participates in normal mRNA turnover and in the degradation of inherently instable mRNAs that contain AU-rich elements. Therefore, the exosome plays a key role in RNA metabolism.\n\nApplications:\nSuitable for use in ELISA. Other applications not tested.\n\nRecommended Dilution:\nOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.\n\nStorage and Stability:\nLyophilized powder may be stored at -20 degrees C. Stable for 12 months at -20 degrees C. Reconstitute with ddH2O to 0.1-1ml. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
