Fas (CD95, APO-1)

CD95, also known as Fas, is a transmembrane glycoprotein. It is a member of the nerve growth factor receptor/tumor necrosis factor superfamily. This cell surface molecule mediates receptor-triggered apoptosis. The Fas antigen is expressed on the surface of various cell types, including activated T and B lymphocytes and T lymphoblastoid cell lines. The antibody will enable further investigation of the expression of Fas antigen in normal and malignant tissues as well as in studies of the interaction of Fas and Fas ligand.\n\nApplications: \nSuitable for use in Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested.\n\nRecommended Dilution:\nImmunohistochemistry (formalin/paraffin): 1:15-1:30 for 60 min at RT. Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires boiling tissue sections in 10mM citrate buffer, pH 6.0 for 10-20 min followed by cooling at RT for 20 min. Requires the use of high-efficiency detection systems.\nOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.\n\nPositive Control: \nSmall intestine\n\nStorage and Stability:\nMay be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
