Intestinal Fatty Acid Binding Protein (I-FABP) is specific localized in the small bowel epithelium. I-FABP is detectable in serum and urine after ischemic injury to the small bowel. The antibody can be used to detect ischemia of the small bowel. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot, Immunoprecipitation, Immunohistochemistry and Immunocytochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 1:10 Immunohistochemistry (Frozen, paraffin): 1:10 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
