Fetuin B belongs to the fetuin family, which is part of the cystatin superfamily. It is a serum glycoprotein that is expressed highly in the liver, tongue and placenta. Fetuin B has been shown to function as an inhibitor of basic calcium phosphate precipitation. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: ELISA: 0.5-2ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Hybridoma: Mouse myeloma cells with B cells obtained from a mouse immunized with purified, NS0-derived, recombinant human Fetuin B. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20 degrees C for short-term only. Reconstitute with sterile 40-50% glycerol, aliquot and store at -20 degrees C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
