Fibroblast Growth Factor 2, Basic (FGF2b) (BSA, Azide, Glycerol Free)

bFGF (FGF-2) is a member of a family of seven peptides that are potent regulators of cell proliferation, differentiation and function. bFGF stimulates the proliferation of cells of mesodermal origin and many cells of endodermal, ectodermal and neuroectodermal origin. bFGF also induces neuron differentiation, survival and regeneration and stimulates astrocyte migration. bFGF may also be involved in the production of a variety of pathological conditions arising from excessive cell proliferation.\n\nApplications: \nSuitable for use in Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested.\n\nRecommended Dilution:\nWestern Blot: 0.5-2ug/ml detects 100ng basic FGF. Basic FGF was resolved by electrophoresis, transferred to nitrocellulose and probed with F4210-21(1ug/ml). Proteins were visualized using a goat anti-mouse secondary antibody conjugated to HRP and a chemiluminescence detection system. \nImmunohistochemistry (Paraffin): 10ug/ml\nImmunohistochemistry (Frozen): Fix with ice-cold, ethanol:acetic acid (95:5).\nOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.\n\nRecommended Secondary Antibodies:\nI1904-06C: IgG, H&L (HRP) (X-Adsorbed) Pab Gt xMo\nI1904-06H IgG, H&L (HRP) (X-Adsorbed) Pab Gt xMo\nI1904-06F: IgG, H&L (FITC) (X-Adsorbed) Pab Gt xMo\n\nStorage and Stability:\nMay be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. For long-term storage, aliquot and store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
