FGF 21 is a critical metabolic regulator which signals through FGF receptors 1c and 4, to stimulate the uptake of glucose by adipocytes, in the presence of the protein cofactor betaKlotho, and in conjunction with the up-regulation of glucose transporter 1 (GLUT1).
Applications:
Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested.

ELISA: 1:2000
Western Blot: 1-3ug/ml

Storage and Stability:
May be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot and store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
