Fibroblast Growth Factor 6 (FGF6)

Applications: \nSuitable for use in Neutralization, Western Blot and ELISA. Other applications not tested.\n\nRecommended Dilution:\nNeutralization: ND50 is ~0.025-0.075ug/ml in the presence of 1ng/ml of rhFGF6 and 1ug/ml of heparin, using the FGF6 responsive NR6R-3T3 fibroblasts as target cells. The Neutralization Dose50 (ND50) for this antibody is defined as that concentration of antibody required to yield one-half maximal inhibition of the cytokine activity on a responsive cell line, when that cytokine is present at a concentration just high enough to elicit a maximum response.\n\nWestern Blot: 0.1-0.2ug/ml with the appropriate secondary reagents to detect human FGF6. The detection limit for rhFGF6 is approximately 2ng/lane under non-reducing and reducing conditions.\n\nELISA: 0.5-1ug/ml with the appropriate secondary reagents to detect human FGF6. The detection limit for rhFGF6 is ~0.16ng/well.\n\nOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. \n\nStorage and Stability:\nMay be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. For long-term storage, store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.

Recognizes human, recombinant Fibroblast Growth Factor 6 (FGF6). ~50% crossreactivity with rhFGF4, less than 5% crossreactivity with rhFGF9 and less than 2% crossreactivity with FGF-acidic, rhFGF5 and rhFGF7. In direct ELISA, this antibody shows no crossreactivity with other cytokines tested.
