Fibroblast Growth Factor-9 (FGF-9, Glial Activating Factor) is a heparin binding growth factor that stimulates the proliferation and activation of glial cells and other cells that express FGF receptors. Murine FGF-9 is a 23.3kD protein containing 205 aa residues.
Applications:
Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot and Dot Blot. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:
Dot Blot: 5ug/ml
Western Blot: detects a band at ~25kD
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:
May be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
