The fibroblast growth factor receptors are members of the tyrosine kinase superfamily and consist of an extracellular ligand domain composed of three immunoglobulin-like domains, a single transmembrane helix domain, and an intracellular domain with tyrosine kinase activity (1). Monoclonal antibodies against the high affinity tyrosine kinase Fibroblast Growth Factor (FGF) receptor may help define receptor epitopes involved in FGF binding and signal transduction which mediate coronary and tumor angiogenesis (3). Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot, Immunoprecipitation and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Western Blot: 0.78ug/ml detected Fibroblast Growth Factor Receptor 1 in 10ug of NIH/3T3 cell lysate. NIH/3T3 lysate was resolved by electrophoresis, transferred to PVDF membrane and probed with F4305-02S. Proteins were visualized using an IgM (HRP) goat anti-mouse and a chemiluminescence detection system. Immunohistochemistry: Paraffin Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Recommended Secondary Antibodies: I1905-28A IgM (X-Adsorbed) (HRP) Pab GtxMo Positive Control: NIH/3T3 cell lysate Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
