Fibronectin

Fibronectin (FN) is involved in many cellular processes, including tissue repair, embryogenesis, blood clotting, and cell migration/adhesion. Fibronectin exists in two main forms: 1) as an insoluble glycoprotein dimer that serves as a linker in the ECM (extracellular matrix), and; 2) as a soluble disulphide linked dimer found in the plasma (plasma FN). The plasma form is synthesized by hepatocytes, and the ECM form is made by fibroblasts, chondrocytes, endothelial cells, macrophages, as well as certain epithelial cells.\n\nApplications: \nSuitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. \n\nRecommended Dilution:\nWestern Blot: 0.05-1ug/ml. Detected Fibronectin in 15ul of normal rat serum. \nOptimal dilution determined by the researcher. \n\nRecommended Secondary Antibodies:\nI1904-46E IgG, H&L (HRP) Pab DkxRb\nI1904-46K IgG, H&L, X-Adsorbed (HRP) Pab DkxRb\n\nRecommended Positive Control:\nNormal rat serum\n\nStorage and Stability:\nMay be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
