Heat Shock Protein 60 (HSP60, GroEL, Chaperonin 60, cpn60) (D85)

In both prokaryotic and eukarytic cells the misfolding and aggregation of proteins during biogenesis and under conditions of cellular stress are prevented by molecular chaperones (1-3). HSP60 has primarily been known as a mitochondrial protein that is important for folding key proteins after import into the mitochondria (4). It is now clear that a significant amount of HSP60 is also present in the cytosol of many cells and that it is induced by stress, inflammatory and immune responses, autoantibodies correlated with Alzheimer's, coronary artery diseases, MS, and diabetes (5-8).\n\nApplications:\nSuitable for use in Western Blot, Immunofluorescence and Flow Cytometry. Other applications have not been tested. \n\nRecommended Dilutions: \nWestern Blot: 1:1000 \nImmunofluorescence (IF-IC): 1:100 \nFlow Cytometry: 1:50 \nOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. \n\nStorage and Stability:\nMay be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. For long-term storage, aliquot and store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. \n
