Heat Shock Protein 90a (HSP90 alpha, HSP86)

Cells respond to heat and chemical stress by inducing the synthesis of a group of proteins referred to as heat shock proteins. HSP90 is present in cells at high levels in the cytoplasm and is composed of two separate gene products, HSP90a and HSP90b. Recently, a cocktail of HSP90a and HSP90b polyclonal antibodies was shown useful in identifying node-negative breast cancer patients at higher risk of tumor recurrence.\n\nApplications: \nSuitable for use in Immunofluorescence, Western Blot, Immunoprecipitation and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested.\n\nSuggested Dilutions:\nImmunoprecipitation (Native): 10ug/mg protein lysate (Use Protein A). \nWestern Blot: 5-10ug/ml for 2hrs at RT.\nImmunohistochemistry (Frozen & formalin/paraffin): 5-10ug/ml for 30 min at RT. Staining of formalin-fixed tissues REQUIRES boiling tissue sections in 10mM citrate buffer, pH 6.0, for 10-20 min followed by cooling at RT for 20 min.\nOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.\n\nControl Peptide: H1832-80\n\nPositive Control: MAD109 cells or breast carcinoma\n\nStorage and Stability:\nMay be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. For long-term storage, store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
