Hepatitis C Virus NS4, Recombinant (HCV)

The antigen is produced in E. coli as a fusion with human superoxide dismutase (SOD). It covers from Ile 1694 to Leu 1735 of the HCV-1a polyprotein. It is equivalent to the 5-1-1 antigen. It reacts in ELISA and Western Blotting with serum from HCV seropositive individuals.\n\nApplications:\nSuitable for use in ELISA and Western Blotting. Other applications not tested.\n\nRecommended Dilution:\nWestern Blotting: 1:1000-1:2000\nOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.\n\nStorage and Stability:\nMay be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot and add glycerol (40-50%). Freeze at -20 degrees C or colder. Aliquots are stable for at least 6 months at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
