The E.coli derived 39kD recombinant protein is a non-glycosylated polypeptide chain, containing the HIV-1 p24 gag immunodominant regions, aa77-436. The HIV-1 p24 gag is fused to beta-galactosidase (114kD).\n\nSpecificity:\nImmunoreactive with all sera of HIV-I infected individuals.\n\nApplications:\nAntigen in ELISA and Western Blot, excellent antigen for early detection of HIV seroconvertors with minimal specificity problems.\n\nStorage and Stability:\nMay be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. For long-term storage, store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 6 months at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
