HLA Class 1 Antigen, monomorphic

The class I major histocompatibility complex (or human leukocyte antigen) monomorphic antigen is expressed widely on human nucleated cells such as lymphocytes, monocytes/ macrophages, dendritic cells and other hematopoietic and non-hematopoietic nucleated cells, and platelets. The expression of HLA-I antigen varies with cell types and decreases with cell maturation, such as less expression on mature granulocytes and almost losing on mature erythrocytes. HLA-I antigen is also expressed on most cells of human leukemic cell lines, but not or little on the cells of Daudi and K562 cell lines and is absent from nerve cells. In addition to membrane HLA-I antigen, soluble form of HLA-I can be detected in serum (or plasma).\n\nApplications:\nSuitable for use in Immunofluorescence, Flow Cytometry and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested.\n\nRecomended Dilutions:\nFlow Cytometry: 0.06ug labels 100ul peripheral blood.\nImmunohistochemistry: Acetone fixed frozen and formalin-fixed paraffin sections.\nOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.\n\nStorage and Stability:\nMay be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.

Recognizes human monomorphic HLA Class 1 Antigen. In addition to membrane HLA-I antigen, the soluble form of HLA-I can be detected in serum (or plasma). Reacts specifically with normal human peripheral blood lymphocytes (100%) and monocytes (96%). Does not react with normal human peripheral blood granulocytes.
