HLA-DRA (HLA Class II Histocompatibility Antigen, DR alpha Chain, MHC Class II Antigen DRA, HLA-DRA1) (APC)

HLA-DR is a transmembrane human major histocompatibility complex 2 (MHC II) family member, which consists of a 34kD (alpha) subunit and one of several 28kD (beta) subunits. HLA-DR is expressed primarily by B cells and dendritic cells (DC), where it binds peptides derived from internalized and processed antigenic proteins. It presents these peptides on the cell surface for recognition by the T cell receptor on CD4T cells. This interaction is central to antigen specificity in the adaptive immune response. HLA-DR alleles, polymorphisms, and aberrant expression are linked to a variety of diseases including autoimmunity and cancer.\n\nApplications:\nSuitable for use in Flow Cytometry. Other applications not tested.\n\nRecommended Dilution:\nOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.\n\nHybridoma:\nFusion of a mouse myeloma with B cells obtained from a mouse immunized with HLA-DR expressing RPMI8866 cells.\n\nStorage and Stability:\nMay be stored at 4 degrees C before opening. DO NOT FREEZE! Stable at 4 degrees C as an undiluted liquid. Dilute only prior to immediate use. Stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Freezing APC conjugates will result in a substantial loss of activity. APC conjugates are sensitive to light.
