Hox B4 (Homeobox Protein B4, HOXB4, HOX-B4, Homeobox 2F, Hox 2F, HOX 2, Hox 2.6)

HOX homeobox genes play a role both in the early stem cell function as well as in later stages of hematopoietic differentiation. HOXB4, specifically, is a homeotic selector gene implicated in self-renewal of definitive HSCs. Expression of HOXB4 in primitive progenitors combined with culture on hematopoietic stroma induced a switch to the definitive HSC phenotype. Activation of WNT signaling in HSCs induced increased expression of HOXB4. Perturbations of HOX gene expression can cause leukemia.\n\nApplications:\nSuitable for use in Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested.\n\nRecommended Dilution:\nWestern Blot: 1-3ug/ml\nImmunohistochemistry (formalin fixed paraffin embedded): 5ug/ml\nOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.\n\nStorage and Stability:\nMay be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
