Hypoxia Inducible Factor 1b (HIF-1b, ARNT, Aryl hydrocarbon Receptor Nuclear Translocator)

The aryl hydrocarbon (Ah) receptor is a ligand activated transcription factor which binds various aryl hydrocarbons such as dioxin or benzo(a)pyrene, and mediates their toxic and carcinogenic biological responses. No endogenous ligand to the Ah receptor has been identified. Ah receptor nuclear translocator (ARNT) is an 87kD basic helix/loop/helix protein that dimerizes with the Ah receptor but does not independently bind ligand. Instead, ARNT is necessary for the ligand-mediated activation of the Ah receptor within the nucleus. ARNT and Ah receptor have also been identified as members Per and Sim (PAS) protein family.\n\nCellular Localization: Nuclear\n\nApplications: \nSuitable for use in Immunofluorescence, Western Blot and Immunoprecipitation. Other applications not tested.\n\nRecommended Dilution:\nOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.\n\nStorage and Stability:\nMay be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
