Recombinant ILK1 comprises a 452 amino acid fragment (1-452) corresponding to the mature ILK1 full- length protein and is expressed in E. coli with an amino- terminal hexahistidine tag.
Integrin-linked kinase (ILK1) is a serine/threonine protein kinase, containing 4 ankyrin-like repeats. ILK1 interacts with the cytoplasmic domains of integrin b1 and b3 subunits as well as several adaptors and signalling proteins and acts as a proximal receptor kinase regulating integrin-mediated signal transduction. ILK1 has been reported to regulate a number of biological properties including anchorage- independent cell cycle progression, tumor cell invasion and apoptosis. Over-expression of ILK1 has been documented in a wide variety of human malignancies.
Applications:
Suitable for use in ELISA. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:
May be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, add sterile glycerol (40-50%), aliquot and store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
