Recombinant corresponding to 134aa of human Interleukin-2 expressed in E.coli. I7663-26H is a single, non-glycosylated mutein (variant form) of human IL-2 polypeptide chain. I7663-26H has a Ser substitute for Cysteine at position 126.\n\nMolecular Weight:\n~15kD\n\nBiological Activity:\nThe ED50 as determined by the dose-dependent stimulation of mouse CTLL-2 cells is less then 0.0645ng/ml, corresponding to a Specific Activity of 16.9 MIU/mg.\n\nDimers and Aggregates:\n(same/less than)1% (SDS-PAGE)\n\nProtein Content:\nProtein quantitation was carried out by two independent methods:1. UV spectroscopy at 280nm using the absorbency value of 0.614 as the extinction coefficient for a 0.1% (1mg/ml) solution. This value is calculated by the PC GENE computer analysis program of protein sequences (IntelliGenetics). 2. Analysis by RP-HPLC, using a calibrated solution of IL-2 as a Reference Standard.\n\nStorage and Stability:\nLyophilized powder may be stored at -20 degrees C. Stable for 12 months at -20 degrees C. Reconstitute with sterile sterile 20mM acetic acid, 0.1% HSA or BSA. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
