Interleukin 6 (IL-6) is an important cytokine in the canine immune response, playing a role in haematopoiesis and in the acute-phase reaction against infections. Biological Activity: ED50 of 50-60ng/ml, determined by measuring the effect of Recombinant canine IL-6 on murine 7TD1 cell prolideration. Applications: Suitable for use in functional assays. applications. Other applications not tested. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20 degrees C. Stable for 12 months at -20 degrees C. Reconstitute with acetic acid. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -70 degrees C. Reconstituted product is stable for 6 months at -70 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
