Cat no: I8428-15A

Interleukin 6, Recombinant, Rat (IL-6)

Source: \nRecombinant corresponding to rat Interleukin 6 expressed in E. coli.\n\nMolecular Weight: \n~22kD\n\nEndotoxin: (same/less than)0.1ng/ug\n\nActivity:\nED50 =0.03-0.1ng/ml. The biological activity is determined by measuring the dose dependent proliferation of IL-6 dependent B9 cells. A concentration range of 0.1 to 10.0ng/ml is effective for most in vitro applications. The optimal concentration for each specific application should be determined by an initial dose response assay.\n\nStorage and Stability:\nLyophilized powder may be stored at -20 degrees C. Stable for 12 months at -20 degrees C. Reconstitute with sterile acetic acid. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
