Luteinizing Hormone (LH) (BSA & Azide Free)

Luteinizing hormone (LH) is a tropic hormone which modulates the secretory activity of other endocrine glands. It is produced in the anterior hypophysis of the pituitary gland. The glycoprotein hormone, LH, like follicle stimulating hormone and thyroid stimulating hormone, is composed of a common alpha-subunit but also a spesofic betasubunit, which characterizes each of these hormones. \n\nMW of Antigen: 14kD (b) and 28 (a/b) \n\nEpitope: Not determined \n\nApplications and Recommended Dilutions: \nImmunohistochemistry (Formalin/paraffin) (Use Ab at 0.2-0.4ug/ml for 30 min at RT) * [Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires boiling tissue sections in 10mM citrate buffer, pH 6.0, for 10-20 min followed by cooling at RT for 20 min.] The optimal dilution for a specific application should be determined by the investigator. \n\nPositive Control: Anterior pituitary \n\nCellular Localization: Cytoplasmic Storage and Stability:\n May be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot and add glycerol (40-50%). Freeze at-20 degrees C or colder. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at-20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
