MAPK is activated by phosphorylation, whereupon the protein translocates to the nucleus, where it phosphorylates nuclear targets. MAPK is an important integration point of many signalling pathways, for a range of cellular processes including proliferation, differentiation, transcription regulation and development. The specificity of this antibody has been shown by blocking studies in Western blot, whereby staining was blocked by the phosphopeptide. No blocking was seen by the corresponding non-phosphopeptide.\n\nApplications:\nSuitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications not tested. \n\nRecommended Dilution: \nWestern Blot:1:1000, detects a band of approximately 43kD in human T47D lysates\nOptimal dilutions determined by the researcher. \n\nRecommended Secondary Reagents: \nSheep anti rabbit IgG:HRP \n\nStorage and Stability:\nMay be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. For long-term storage, store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
