Hydrolysis of the vitamin B6 antagonist linatine, produces the toxic compound,1-amino-D-proline. The compound possesses bacteriostatic effect toward A. vinelandii. The mechanism by which aminoproline exerts its toxic effects is unknown. Melting Point: 155-156 degrees C Solubility: Methanol, Water Storage and Stability: May be stored at RT for short-term only. Long-term storage is recommended at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap.
