Nerve growth factor-beta (NGF-b) is a potent neurotrophic factor which supports the growth and survivability of nerve and/or glial cells. The active form of human beta-NGF is is a noncovalently disulfide-linked homodimer, formed by two 13.5kD polypeptide monomers (238 total amino acids). The three disulfide bonds are required for biological activity.\n\nApplications: \nSuitable for use in Western Blot, Immunohistochemistry, and Immunocytochemistry. Other applications not tested.\n\nRecommended Dilutions:\nWestern Blot: 1:500. Fetal thyroid cell lysate was resolved by electrophoresis, transferred to PVDF membrane and probed with N2050-06P. Proteins were visualized using a goat anti-rabbit secondary antibody conjugated to HRP and a chemiluminescence detection system.\nImmunohistochemistry (Paraffin): 1:50-1:100. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
