Nucleobindin-2(Nucb2) is a calcium-binding EF-hand protein. Nucb2 may be having a role in calcium homeostasis and multifunctional protein that interact with Ca(2+), nucleic acids and various regulatory proteins in different signaling pathways. In mouse brain, Nucb2 was localized in neuronal perikarya and dendrites.
