Phosphatase, Alkaline, Placental (Alkaline phosphatase, placental type, Alkaline phosphatase Regan isozyme, ALP, FLJ61142, PALP, Placental alkaline phosphatase 1, PLAP, PLAP-1)

It is useful in the identification of testicular germ cell tumors. Unlike germ cell tumors, PLAP-positive somatic cell tumors uniformly express epithelial membrane antigen (EMA).\n\nComments: Excellent for staining of formalin/paraffin with no special pretreatment.\n\nApplications:\nImmunohistology: (Formalin/paraffin) (Use Ab 1:50 for 30 min) No special pretreatment is required for the immunohistochemical staining of formalin/paraffin tissues.\n\nPositive Control: Placenta or seminoma\n\nCellular Localization: Cell membrane\n\nStorage and Stability:\nMay be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot and add glycerol (40-50%). Store at -20 degrees C or colder. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
