Platelet Derived Growth Factor BB, Recombinant, Human (PDGF-BB)

Platelet Derived Growth Factor (PDGF) is a potent mitogen for a wide range of cell types including fibroblasts, smooth muscle and connective tissue. PDGF, which is composed of a dimer of two chains termed the A chain and B chain, can be present as AA or BB homodimers or as an AB heterodimer.\n\nSource: \nRecombinant human PDGF-BB, 218 total amino acids, expressed in E. coli.\n\nMolecular Weight: 24.3kD\n\nBiological Activity: \nThe ED50 as determined by the dose-dependent stimulation of BALB/c 3T3 cells proliferation is < 1ng/ml\n\nEndotoxin: (same/less than)1EU/ug (LAL)\n\nApplications: \nSuitable for use in ELISA. Other applications not tested.\n\nRecommended Dilution:\nOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.\n\nStorage and Stability:\nLyophilized powder may be stored at -20 degrees C. Stable for 12 months at -20 degrees C. Reconstitute with sterile PBS. Aliquot and store at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
