Proteins that contain a SET domain, such as SETDB2, modulate gene expression epigenetically through histone H3 methylation. SETDB2 is likely a histone H3 methyltransferase, as it contains both the active site and flanking cysteine residues required for catalytic activity. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: ELISA: 1:1000 Western Blot: 0.3-1ug/ml, observed in human heart lysates on ~80kD bands Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
