Siglec-1 cell surface antigen, also known as CD169, is expressed by subsets of cells of the macrophage/ monocyte cell lineage. CD169 is preferentially expressed on cells in the late stages of maturation. It is expressed strongly on alveolar and tissue macrophages, but weakly on blood monocytes.\n\nApplications:\nSuitable for use in Flow Cytometry, Immunohistochemistry, Immunoprecipitation and Westen Blot. Other applications not tested. \n\nRecommended Dilutions:\nFlow Cytometry: 1:10-1:100; 10ul labels 10e6 cells in 100ul.\nImmunohistochemistry: Frozen sections\nOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. \n\nPositive Control for Immunohistochemistry: \nPorcine spleen \n\nHybridoma: \nX63-Ag8.653 myeloma cells with spleen cells from Balb/c mice.\n\nStorage and Stability:\nMay be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
