SLC5A9 is a 76kD member of the solute carrier family. It is a transmembrane protein, expressed in the small intestine, liver and kidney. SGLT4 functions as a low affinity, Na+ dependent, alpha-methyl-D-glucopyranoside (AMG) transporter. Mannose, glucose and fructose inhibit this transport activity. SGLT4 is also thought to be involved in the absorption and/or reabsorption of Mannose, glucose, 1,5-anhydro-D-glucitol and fructose.\n\nApplications:\nSuitable for use in Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested.\n\nRecommended Dilution:\nImmunohistochemistry (paraffin): 10ug/ml\nRequires antigen retrieval using heat treatment prior to staining of paraffin sections. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.\n\nPositive Control: Brain, Cortex.\n\nStorage and Stability:\nMay be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
